Scavolini believes they have found their golden ticket in India.
Following their involvement in the 2008 Index exhibition, the Italian kitchen manufacturer recently released plans to open 10 new, single-brand stores in the country by 2010 upon instinct that, in the long term, the Indian economy is poised to surpass that of the Chinese. The expansion is based on the understanding that the domestic furniture market in the subcontinent is experiencing constant growth, and its demand for Italian-designed imports is increasing regularly.
Confident in their product's heritage, Scavolini export manager Roberto Gramaccioni stated, “the kitchen is beginning to take centre stage in the home, and the value added by Italian products in terms of design and emotional content is becoming undeniable.”

The kitchen manufacturer will open its first Indian store in Hyderabad in March of next year, and will follow with April openings in Bangalore and Chennai, and Ludhiana in June. Remaining stores will launch in Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, and Kochi--where Scavolini will supply 400 kitchens for Dewa Royale, a luxury residential complex in 2010.
