I immediately fell madly in love with this space when I saw it on Material Girls! Emily Johnston of EJ Interiors designed this fabulous vignette for Dwell with Dignity’s new Thrift Studio store that recently opened in Dallas. I cannot get over the color scheme here...the bold orange and turquoise color scheme is so fun, but the space feels totally chic. Love the striped fabric on the chairs! Tuckered Out

So of course the one weekend we had sooo much to do, I get sick and end up having to be in bed the whole time. You should see all the projects Chris completed though...he really made a dent in the ol' list! Major thanks to my BFF Claire (she sure can rock a paintbrush) and my dad who was over a bunch last week helping us out (he has the right tool for everything)!

Seriously though, you guys know the children's book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie?? That's all I can think of as we complete each project, getting our house ready to sell. You make one improvement, then you see another you should do, which makes something else look glaringly outdated...it never ends! I'm just exhausted thinking about it! So, I think I'll just go back to bed. (Ours not nearly glamorous as this one designed by Betsy Burnham and featured in Lonny.)

Colorful Bedroom Makeover

SO much fun color!! It would be hard not to wake up happy in this bedroom featured in BHG. I love that they brought in that storage chest to use as a cozy window bench...you can never have too many cute, colorful pillows! The window coverings here are great too. I love how they layered the bamboo blinds with the orange panels. Head over to BHG for more photos, including before shots too!

We have a lot on our plate this weekend. We are getting ready to put our house on the market (eek!) so there's lots of projects and major de-cluttering going down around our house! Once things are looking good around here, I'll share some photos with you guys! Have a fantastic weekend! :)

It's Mad Men...with a twist! I love how designer Chris Barrett used the same vibrant complementary colors throughout this entire Manhattan Beach home for a cohesive look that's fun and inviting. So much great retro furniture here...those turquoise lounge chairs are so cool! I'm really loving the artwork, especially the poolside photograph by Slim Aarons in the dining room. Liz Carroll Interiors

It feels like forever since I've shared a boy's room featuring our favorite color! Why should girls have all the fun? Well I know for certain one little guy who is loving his new big-boy room. His mom is Liz Carroll, an interior designer in Wilmington, NC. I love the upbeat color scheme she chose to bring some happy energy to his room, photographed here by Allison Breiner. What kid wouldn't dig the bunkbeds and all the great built-ins?! And of course those fun bean bag chairs covered in Trina Turk's Sonriza Print from Schumacher and Jonathan Adler's awesome Giraffe Lamp! I'm loving the fabric she chose for the window treatments as well (Outdura Fabric in Aquatic and Natural White). They look great against Thibaut's (scrubbable!) Harbour Linen Wallpaper in Beige. Porter Design Company

I hope you don't mind another day of orange and turquoise! This posh bedroom designed by Lauren Guarcello of Porter Design Company and photographed by Peter Rymwid was in the Stately Homes By The Sea Show House in Red Bank, New Jersey. I love the fresh approach she took to the sophisticated room. The China Seas Lyford Blue on Tint fabric from Quadrille is absolutely beautiful here and I just love the collection of turquoise paintings by Brisbane artist and designer Kerri Shipp of Driftwood Interiors. They just pop on the gorgeous paper weave wallpaper from Thibaut! Such an inspiring space!

Cool & Colorful Sunroom

There are loads of fresh ideas in this colorful sunroom from BHG! The pretty aqua blue vaulted ceiling is the obvious darling here...I would stare off at it all day if it were in my home. I've never been a fan of wicker furniture, but it's perfect here. I especially love the rockers! The cushioned bench in the back with all that great storage, the layered orange rugs on that cute checkered floor, and the cheery roller shades (I just love those!)...it all looks so effortlessly stylish!
