To have a cute little waterside cottage in Nantucket...how many of us would be in absolute heaven?! This picture-perfect one by architects Brooks & Falatico with interior design by Lynn Morgan Design is just what I'd dream up for myself. All that white spiced up with yummy turquoise! I'm in love with those turquoise Moroccan poufs in the living room and the big, cozy sectional. And how about the turquoise lacquered floor in the bedroom?! Swoon!

Thibaut Giveaway!

There really is only so much gushing we can do over Thibaut. It's not just me that loves them to pieces, their gorgeous wallpaper and fabrics always seem to garner a ton of comments here on House of Turquoise. How fabulous are these images showcasing their new Avalon collection?! Just brilliant!

Cottage Kitchen Makeover

Sometimes the prettiest kitchens are not the biggest or most expensive! This cute cottage kitchen featured in Better Homes & Gardens used to be drab and cramped. The results of the homeowner's renovation make the space so light and cheery, and much more functional. I love the open shelving, it's such a great way to display all of their pretty dinnerware and accessories. The vintage-style pulley fixtures are super cute too! RLH Studio

I immediately bookmarked interior design firm RLH Studio when they won honorable mention in the Show Off Your Schumacher Wallcovering contest (and not just because they are from Minneapolis!) Since then I've seen the winning bathroom above floating around the blogopshere. And for good reason...is it not one of the most gorgeous bathrooms you've ever seen?? Schumacher's Albero Floreale in Aqua wallpaper is incredible, and looks perfect with the paint color on the makeup vanity. The corresponding bedroom is so beautiful too, with more stunning wallcovering. The little girl's room is an absolute dream come true!! And I love the blue and green living room above...so comfy and colorful! There are lots more beautiful rooms I know you'll love over on their website, so check it out!

Oh how I wish I could spend a summer on the New England coast!! Located in the first Colonial settlement on Martha’s Vineyard, this sunny home photographed by Michael Partenio might appear to have been around for ages. But nope, this lovely is entirely new...except for a tiny part in the front. The architectural firm Brooks & Falotico (remember them from this home we all loved??) and Rosbeck Builders worked with interior designer Julia Doyle to keep the home historically authentic, but also comfortable and fun...this is a vacation home after all! I love the burst of color from unexpected places, like the kitchen counters and glass tile around the fireplace. And the window seat is just the cutest thing ever! Tucker & Marks Guestroom & Chi-Town Bound!

I've long been admiring this guestroom designed by Suzanne Tucker and the staff of Tucker & Marks for the 2010 Elle Decor Designer Showhouse. I love everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about this space! Suzanne's own Hatley fabric is used here as wallcovering and I absolutely adore it. That faux coral mirror is so cool too! And the hand-carved beds...*sigh*....they are truly the show-stoppers here. Designer Katie Denham had a fantastic post dedicated to this beautiful room on her blog KatieDid, including the neat story behind those incredible beds! All you want to know and more eye candy waits for you here!

I'm super excited because tomorrow we're leaving to visit one of my favorite cities: Chicago! You'll love this...for a wedding present Chris surprised me with plane tickets, hotel reservations and concert tickets for us to see Ray LaMontagne play in Millennium Park (check out that bandshell!) His music, as well as Chicago, are both very sentimental to us...so it's going to be great! If anyone has any sight-seeing, dining or shopping recommendations, we'd love to hear!

It's no secret I'm such a fan of Swedish interiors, which is why I was immediately drawn to this home designed by Alexandra Angle and photographed by Victoria Pearson! Located in Venice, California and featured in House Beautiful, the light, bright and cheery home is filled with so many fresh, springy colors. I feel renewed just looking at them! Sea Meets Sky

If I hadn't discovered these photos via Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, I would have sworn the house was in New England! For good reason though, as the owners lived in Massachusetts for many years before moving to Denver. Interior Nan Procknow and architect Don Ruggles worked to execute their vision of a new home inspired by their summers spent on the coast. I love the soft blue and green color scheme throughout the home. The glass tiles on the backsplash are gorgeous! Don't miss the rest of the home here!
