Peaceful & Pretty

I am overwhelmed with a sense of serenity when I stare into these beautiful photographs taken by Emily Gilbert. Designed by Ali Schwarz and styled by Rebecca Omweg, the peaceful palette and beautiful furnishings are absolutely heavenly. I just wish I could magically transport myself into the last photo and work from that desk all day. Not a bad view! Of course I'd turn around every few minutes, because the view in the other direction is equally as lovely!

My 30th Birthday Giveaway!

So many stripes, so little time! This lovely living room filled from the October issue of Homes and Gardens was photographed by Tom Leighton and styled by Katrin Cargill. I would have thought this many stripes going that many ways would be crazy, but the subtle palette makes it work in a harmonious way. I love it!

Now on to other important matters. In ten short days I'll be turning 30! Yikes! I thought a fun thing to do would be to go shopping for you guys, some of my favorite people. We have so much in common, it was really actually very easy (and super fun) to put together this uber-fabulous giveaway. Depending on how you count, there's 30+ turquoisey items here people. (!!!) Let's see what the lucky winner will receive!

Mistral South Seas French Shea Butter Soap: I've been wanting this soap forever. I seriously want to keep it it smells sooooo good. And it has great reviews. But you get to love it first.

A Guide to Elegance: I own this book. It's so cute and filled with great tips.

Naiad French Vanilla Natural Lip Balm: Something else I almost kept...yummy!

Martha Stewart Basket Weave Aqua-Striped Kitchen Towels: I love Martha's stuff. These towels are great...absorbent and totally cute. You'll get 3.

Francesca's Collections Bracelet: Soooo sparkly, it will look adorable with any outfit.

Calypso Basics Utensil Set: I got these for Christmas last year, LOVE them. I use them all the time and they still look brand new. Here's your very own set!

Revlon Nail Enamel in Minted and cute little bag my step-mom made, just for you guys. I'm normally a pink/red nail polish wearer, but I do wear this color and I love it. And this bag is super cute, fab print and colors! (She's opening an Etsy shop soon, you'll love that too.)

Sweet Pea Bobby Pin Trio in Tranquility: So stink'n cute, I almost took one off just for me.

Iconoclasps: These little paperclips made me laugh. They make great bookmarks too.

Tie-Dye Journal: I saw this at Anthropologie, the colors are amazing.

Teal Purple Olive Mums Handmade Cards: Handmade and gorgeous...the colors are so beautiful. You'll get all five (unless I steal one).

Stuff Every Woman Should Know: Lots of good info in this cute little hardcover book.

And lastly, Martha Stewart Measuring Cups and Spoons: We can't NOT have these, right??

Meg Adams

This dining room designed by Meg Adams from the 40th annual Decorators’ Show House & Gardens and featured in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle magazine is absolutely breathtaking! Of course, our beloved Marjorie Skouras chandelier is the crowing jewel, but I'm drooling over the Obsorne & Little fabric too. The photography by Erica George Dines really is stunning here, perfectly captures the space. I just can't handle all this beauty!

Update: The fabric is called "Grove Garden" - pattern number F5633/02. It's from Osborne & Little's Miradouro Collection. You can see it here!

Buckingham Interiors

The sitting room in this home designed Julia Edelmann of Buckingham Interiors + Design has to be one of the neatest I've seen! I am absolutely dying here over that fabric (Flowershow from Christopher Carr), the colors and oversize botanical print are complete perfection. (And the chairs look comfy too!) How awesome are those barstools in the kitchen?! They're covered in vinyl, but the nail heads keep them looking très cool! See more of the home here!

Mabley Handler Interior Design

Last week you all LOVED the seafoam bathroom by Mabley Handler Interior Design so much, I thought I'd share more from their portfolio. After seeing the photos, it didn't surprise me to learn that Jennifer Mabley and her husband Austin Handler focus their design business on projects in the Hamptons. I like what Jennifer had to say in Hamptons Magazine: "A lot of our clients have similar needs for their homes, but are coming from different points of view. Some are trying to capture a feeling from a summerhouse they rented. Some people want a house where they can do a lot of entertaining; some want a house that's very private...But they all want the same thing: to be able to relax and enjoy." In the Hamptons or anywhere else, isn't that really what we all want? To see more of their beautiful work, head here!

Elsa Soyars

I am really digging the work of Elsa Soyars, an interior designer born in Portugal. If you take a peek around her portfolio, you'll notice all of her rooms are like the ones above...tranquil and calm, yet elegant and refined. But it's the first image that I'm madly in love with. The earthy color palette and all the light streaming in...so beautiful! The bright Trina Turk pillow in the last couple images is just fab too...I love her peacock fabric so much I could eat it right up! Mmm mmm!
