With the talent of Boston-based architect James Cullion and interior designer Eileen Marcuvitz, this Newport, Rhode Island home photographed by Robert Benson was inspired by a majestic oak tree and built to take full advantage of the home’s breathtaking water views. They used a palette of misty blues with hints of sea and sky to bring the outside inside. I love the symmetry in the home and the use of arches throughout...especially the front entrance outside. Oh how I wish I could spend a summer on the New England coast!! Located in the first Colonial settlement on Martha’s Vineyard, this sunny home photographed by Michael Partenio might appear to have been around for ages. But nope, this lovely is entirely new...except for a tiny part in the front. The architectural firm Brooks & Falotico (remember them from this home we all loved??) and Rosbeck Builders worked with interior designer Julia Doyle to keep the home historically authentic, but also comfortable and fun...this is a vacation home after all! I love the burst of color from unexpected places, like the kitchen counters and glass tile around the fireplace. And the window seat is just the cutest thing ever! Muse Interiors

A feast for the eyes!! Thanks to COCOCOZY, I was reminded of designer Lauren Muse of Muse Interiors out of Greenwich, CT. Many of you may already know that she was the design talent behind The Zhush's home, which was recently featured in Connecticut Cottages and Gardens. (Several of the above photos are from that spread, photographed so beautifully by John Bessler.) I am officially obsessed here. I wish I could have posted every single photo from Lauren's portfolio, they are all this incredible. The perfect amount of pattern, color, texture...all expertly woven together to make some of the freshest, most serene spaces I've come across. And to top it off, I hear she's as sweet as she is talented! Head on over to her portfolio for lots more where this came from!

Can you guess where this home is?! Just a few minutes walk from the sea in Malmö, Sweden, of course! This Hus & Hem space showcasing a bright white backdrop splashed with a rainbow of color is all sorts of fun. I'm digging the whimsical details like the life-sized animals by artist William Sweetlove, the beautiful glass art, and all the bold fabrics. But most of all I am absolutely in love with all of those rugs!!! See more of this funky, happy home over here!
