There is no question that I am currently obsessed with this combination! Aside from being out on the water on a perfectly sunny day, there's nothing quite like filling a room with the cheerful combo of turquoise, yellow and blue. How could you not be in a perpetual good mood?! In fact I think I'm going to have to invest in some more yellow pieces for my wardrobe...spread the good cheer wherever I go! :)

New Zealand Coastal Cottage

This 430 sq ft home photographed by Paul McCredie and featured in NZ House & Garden seems downright spacious with its awe-inspiring Marlborough Sounds view! The waterside cottage started out as a weekend home for a New Zealand couple, but after only a year they ended up living there full-time. In order to maintain harmony in their small space, they've created a few rules to live by: anything that comes in has to be second-hand, made by them, bought from Trade Aid or their local gallery..."or so wonderful it is an exception to the rules!" (I don't know about you, but that last one never really works for me!)

You would have to swear this gorgeous home featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and photographed by Mali Azima was the achievement of a renowned designer. Well I was surprised to learn on Verdigris Vie that it was designed entirely by the homeowner, Elizabeth Elsey, a nurse for over 20 years. Not surprisingly, however, is that she is inspired by all the colors of the beach...especially all spectrums of blue, from the water to the sky. Soul sister all the way! I'm just loving the gorgeous dining room. (Walls: Farrow & Ball Oval Room Blue over Farrow & Ball Light Blue in custom strié finish. Trim: Benjamin Moore Bavarian Cream.) Shine by S.H.O. & Giveaway Winner!

How much love can I shine on this home belonging to Susan Hornbeak-Ortiz, owner of Shine by S.H.O.?! I've seen pieces from her fabulous collection before (the most glorious turquoise sofa comes to mind immediately), so it was really fun to see her home featured over on Delight by Design. Its perfectly neutral palette acts as a canvas on which the designer can explore and grow. Susan actually uses her home as her laboratory...for how her designs look, and with four kids, how functional they are and how well they wear. Paddles & Paws

Hitting up Tybee Island, Georgia has been on my to-do list ever since I learned of the one and only Jane Coslick. There's just something about every one of her designs....so colorful and friendly, where you can kick-back and relax the day away. I just get the sense the whole island is like that. This cottage is Jane's most recent undertaking, she shared a peek on her blog. Isn't it delightful?! Luckily for us, it will be available to rent by late spring through Mermaid Cottages. Sign me up!! And stop the presses: Did you guys know Jane has an online shop?! Be still my heart!!

We're now officially down to two weeks!! Some of my Facebook fans got a little peek yesterday into my DIY wedding decorations. I might just keep adding fun stuff on there, so follow along if you're interested!
