When I look at these images from the portfolio of Los Angeles-based designer Kristen Panitch, I don't see some of the cutest rooms ever, I see life. The kids rooms feel so magical, so real and happy! Even the living areas are so kid-friendly, I can just see the families enjoying every inch of these rooms. The colors, the patterns, the layers, the lighting, the fabrics, the toys and crayons...I just love all of it. And I just have to say, that has to be one of the best kitchens I've ever laid my eyes on. Lots more waiting for you right over here!

Windsor Smith "Room in a Box"

Without a doubt one of my all-time favorite designers is Windsor Smith. I am crazy about her elegant yet whimsical style and brilliant use of color. Is there anyone reading who hasn't drooled over that turquoise painted kitchen floor above?? It continues to make my heart sing! When it comes to designers with her level of talent and fame, I assume their services are usually reserved for those with the big budgets. Not so in her case. Windsor Smith believes everyone should have access to great design. I was excited to learn that she created an online decorating service called "Room in a Box" to bring her clever design ideas and to-the-trade resources to those of us with great taste and perhaps a wee bit smaller budget! Do you guys remember little Norah's nursery?? One of my ALL-TIME favorites ever?! The design genius behind it and this gorgeous studio is jewelry designer Caroline of Armelle Jewelry. Schumacher's Birds and Butterflies wallpaper is a match made in heaven with her stained concrete floor. (Wouldn't you love to do that in your basement?!) I absolutely adore the white armoire she lovingly painted too, and how the inside is painted Robins Nest by Benjamin Moore to match the floors. Ooh la la!

You just don't see stuff like this here in the States. Straight out of France, this home featured in Campagne Décoration is storybook beautiful. I can't even imagine eating dinner at that dining table, surrounded by the aqua-painted eighteenth century woodwork. Don't even get me started on a soak in that tub! And that armoire is killing me!
