Niki Kantor Rubin

With a tranquil aqua background and modern, colorful vibe, this chic nursery designed by Niki Kantor Rubin is filled to the brim with inspiration! Niki is actually the owner of Papery & Cakery (how cute is that name?), a stationery studio and blog out of Boca Raton, Florida. But more importantly she is also the new mom to twins Raya and Mason!! She set out to design the nursery in her favorite color (turquoise!) while keeping it as gender neutral as possible. I can't get over the results! Her favorite thing in the whole nursery are the fantastic portraits of the cuties taken by photographer Shelley Armenio, who also shot these great pics. I couldn't agree more! But really there are so many details to love here, like the Jonathan Adler pear mirror representing their "pair" of babies, the giant scrabble letters and adorable whale tissue holder from Etsy and the awesome graphic art above the changing table and in the bathroom that Niki designed and printed herself. See how talented she is?? For more from her, definitely check out Papery & Cakery and her inspiring blog! And a million thanks, Niki, for supplying us with the rest of the sources listed below!

Windsor Smith "Room in a Box"

Without a doubt one of my all-time favorite designers is Windsor Smith. I am crazy about her elegant yet whimsical style and brilliant use of color. Is there anyone reading who hasn't drooled over that turquoise painted kitchen floor above?? It continues to make my heart sing! When it comes to designers with her level of talent and fame, I assume their services are usually reserved for those with the big budgets. Not so in her case. Windsor Smith believes everyone should have access to great design. I was excited to learn that she created an online decorating service called "Room in a Box" to bring her clever design ideas and to-the-trade resources to those of us with great taste and perhaps a wee bit smaller budget! Just send her your room specs and some photos, fill out a questionnaire, and you're on your way to your own custom-designed Windsor Smith room! Read more about it here!

Guest Blogger: Annette Tatum "Bohemian Inspired Nurseries"

One of the best things about having a baby is designing a nursery in a special style that is designed both for mother and child. When Minnie Driver asked me to design her Hollywood nursery, she wanted the room to have a "bohemian" style that fit her home decor, but also had special touches of whimsy that made the environment more child-like. From the scalloped edges on the window shades, to the cocoon like netting over the crib, the colors and eclectic collection of furntiure all speak to her personal style. An easy daybed filled with fun pillows for napping and quiet time to the recovered glider chair compete with patchworked textiles. The aqua walls, green accents and pops of pink and orange all dance together in a caravan of color, creating a one of a kind "boho" nursery especially designed for Minnie.

Our new "Bohemian Inspired" Little House Collection introduces a colorful plate of possibilities for your child's room or nursery. Designed to stimulate the senses, we invite parents to travel through exotic color and bring the boho spirit into your child's world. Shop the entire collection here!

For more inspirations for your home decor, visit Annette Tatum's blog or purchase her book, "The Well-Dressed Home"!

Elizabeth Sullivan Design

Just because I'm engaged now doesn't mean I've got nurseries on my mind! But when I first saw this amazing one by New Orleans designer Elizabeth Sullivan, I have to admit my ovaries did hurt a little! It's just exactly the sort of space I would want to have for my own little one some day. Full of fun color, lots of texture and cozy layers. How cool are those aqua stripes on the ceiling?? And the wall of books?! Genius! Elizabeth actually has her own blog too that I love...check it out here!

The Farmer Nursery

While anxiously awaiting the birth of her new son, my super-talented (and super-sweet) reader Robyn of The Farmer Family just put the final touches on this beautifully harmonious nursery. The only thing that could possibly improve it would be the addition of her soon-to-be-born little one! How gorgeous is the fabric she selected for the bedding and curtains?! Believe it or not, she didn't even plan it when she picked it out, it just happened to perfectly match the existing wall color! You're all going to want to head over to visit Robyn. Her adorable little daughter's room is turquoise too, as is her sewing room! Head on over here for a peek!!

Flamenco Nursery!

You all already know how much I adore the Flamenco Shower Curtain, which is why I'm so excited to share this adorable nursery designed by Jill Keebler out of Raleigh, NC. After seeing it on my blog, Jill went out and purchased two of the them for her new nursery to use as window coverings. Aren't they something else with the light shining through?! *sigh* They look fabulous next to the walls (Colorwheel 2104M Swandive) and the tier cascade chandelier. I love all the artwork she found on Etsy too, and the hand-painted letters she made herself! Brady certainly is a lucky little guy!!
